\nUppsatspriset 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fr\u00e5n och med detta \u00e5r har inl\u00e4mningen av bidrag till uppsatspriset flyttats till den 31 januari. Uppsatspriset kommer d\u00e4rmed ocks\u00e5 att f\u00e5 en fast offentligg\u00f6randedag p\u00e5 Svenska ProjektAkademiens \u00e5rssammankomst. Detta inneb\u00e4r att n\u00e5got uppsatspris f\u00f6r 2013 inte delas ut.<\/p>\n

Inf\u00f6r 2014 \u00e5rs uppsatspris inkom 18 bidrag fr\u00e5n sju olika l\u00e4ros\u00e4ten. Juryn ser med tillfredsst\u00e4llelse p\u00e5 spridningen mellan l\u00e4ros\u00e4ten och noterar att b\u00e5de samh\u00e4llsvetenskapliga och tekniska fakulteter \u00e4r representerade. Uppsatserna handlar om ett antal aspekter av projektarbete, allt fr\u00e5n samverkans- och ledarskapsfr\u00e5gor till projektportf\u00f6ljhantering.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Uppsatspriset 2014\/National thesis award 2014:<\/strong><\/div>\n

The National Thesis award is given to Jaime Adri\u00e1n Mill\u00e1n Leyva and Vladimir Matovic, Ume\u00e5 School of Business (USBE).<\/div>\n

In the master thesis “Project management practices at the front-end of management consulting projects” the importance of handling the early phases in projects are explored. The study is focussed on the project management practices that Swedish management consultants employ in the initial phases of their consulting projects. Particularly, it focuses on the practices that reconcile possible gaps in perspectives and expectations that often exist between client and consultant when this relationship is being formed. The results show that consultants favor practices that revolve around communication and interaction with the client, including interviews, workshops, and meetings, among others. In addition, they stress the importance of the use of documentation in order to reach an agreement on what the project is about. The thesis is well written, well aligned to current research frontiers and a showcase of excellent methodological and analytical abilities.<\/div>\n
